DNS and AD Integration

Scenario:

When you install DNS service and then planned to implement AD (active directory) in the same server, the DNS and the active directory domain will not be integrated.

Solution:

To integrate DNS and active directory please do the following procedures.

  1. Go to DNS server and then select forward lookup zones.
  2. Right click the domain name and then select properties.
  3. In the general menu you will see the option type and select change; you will be prompted to change type zone.
  4. Tick the option store the zone in active directory as available in the screenshot.
